Emery Oleochemicals (M) Sdn Bhd

Formerly known as Cognis Oleochemicals (M) Sdn. Bhd., Emery Oleochemicals is now equally owned by Sime Darby Plantation Sdn. Bhd. and Thailand’s PTT Chemical International Pte. Ltd.

Headquartered at the Peremba Square, Saujana Resort, Shah Alam, Selangor, Emery Oleochemicals (M) manages the overall administrative functions of its international affiliates in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

The operations in Malaysia which started way back in 1989 was originally involved in the production, marketing and sales of fatty acids, fatty alcohols, glycerine and associated products. In 2005, the business scope was expanded following the transfer of Cognis Oleochemicals’ global oleochemicals, plastics technology and ozone acids businesses to Cognis Oleochemicals (M) Sdn. Bhd.

The expansion has resulted in the expansion of Sime Darby Plantation’s overall downstream operations to the United States, Canada, Brazil, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan and Hong Kong.
