Plantations Overview: IndonesiaSime Darby Plantation Sdn Bhd operates a total of 195,156 ha of estates in Kalimantan, Sumatera and Sulawesi. This represents 35.2% of the Company’s planted area. The plantations in Kalimantan are currently managed by the Malaysian Upstream Division while the rest of the plantations in Indonesia are managed by Sime Darby Plantation’s subsidiary, Plantation Minamas headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Prospects and Strategic Plan Sime Darby Plantation’s significant investment in Indonesia reflects its confidence in its valued contribution towards the Company’s overall performance. Quality Performance programmes have been introduced to promote operational excellence within the Indonesian plantations. The setting up of an R&D facility in Teluk Siak provides technological support services. |
