Sime Darby Technology Centre (SDTC)

Sime Darby Technology Centre The core research areas of SDTC are centred on plant biotechnology, bio processing, molecular diagnostics and natural products. SDTC's laboratories are the first in the Asia Pacific region to be accredited to ISO/IEC 17025. The accreditation on April 18, 1996 was testimony to the good laboratory practices that are in place. With this accreditation and the wide range of expertise and equipment in its laboratories, SDTC, besides undertaking its own R&D, also provides testing and consultancy services to the biotechnology and chemical sectors of industry.

Going forward, Sime Darby Plantation is in the midst of establishing a Seed Research Centre in Perlis to cater for our expanding food business within the Northern Corridor Economic Region.
